There is an originality though: Marina &

represents Juliet (Marina) holding the dagger that
killed her, and Romeo (Gwendal) lain and dead on
the floor (the ice!). The last lift represents the

Susanna
2000-2002 exhibition
Music: "Susanna" by Art Company
Story: Gwendal plays a man in love with a
woman called Susanna (played by Marina). The
program relates a lot to the lyrics of the song
(which you can read here): Gwendal has a date with
Marina (Susanna) but in the middle his cell phone
rings. It's a wrong number but Marina, annoyed,
goes away...;-)
Costumes: black t-shirt and pants with a grey
jacket for Gwendal. Marina always wears black pants
with a black belt but has been wearing different
tops for this number. She was wearing a glittering
multi-coloured top (costumes # 1) until the 2001
Masters (included). At the 2001 Trophee Lalique ,
2002 Europeans and 2002 Olympics, she wore a black
top with red and yellow spangles (costumes # 2). At

Danse mon Esmeralda
1999/2000 exhibition
Music: "Danse mon Esmeralda" (in
English "Dance my Emeralda") sung by Garou, from
the musical "Notre Dame de Paris", inspired from
Victor Hugo's story.
Story: this song is the last one from the
musical. Esmeralda has just been hanged and
Quasimodo, the hunchbacked, who was in love with
her, expresses his pain: "Dance my Esmeralda, Sing
my Esmeralda, Dance just one more time for me, it
is not death to die for you". Gwendal plays
Quasimodo (and he is made-up as Garou was in the
musical) and Marina is Esmeralda. At the start,
Marina is dead in Gwendal's arms, and then she
dances one more time for him, before dying
again.
Costumes: White, red
and black costumes with a hunch on Gwendal's back
(costumes # 1) were worn at 1999 Masters Miko,
then Gwendal had a new costume, again with a hunch,
for some summer tours (costumes # 2). Marina had a new
purple and red costume (costumes # 3) for the 2000
events.
